Itinerary
Now central Serengeti by air to the vast and fabled Serengeti, a place, wrote the great conservationist Bernhard Grzimek, “where you can feel the pulse of the Earth, the rhythm of life that has been playing out for millions of years.”
Our camp, the lemala Nanyuki the newest addition to Lemala superb collection of camps and lodges, sits in nanyukie plain isolation deep in the kopje rocks , overlooking the Nanyuki plains, which we roam freely, watching elephants make their mammoth rounds, cheetahs atop rocky kopjes, alert to every shifting molecule below, long, orderly lines of zebras and wildebeest as they trace their ancient migratory paths.
~Exploring Exotic wild in style~
Today we loam ffreely ventures inti Serengeti wilderness corners for full day of game viewing in the park
With a picnic lunch beside you, take your leisure while exploring this world heritage site, where earth’s largest concentration of plain game still roams free!
The Serengeti is without a doubt the earth’s greatest wildlife spectacle. Three million or more large mammals–elephant, cheetah, wildebeest, zebra, lion, gazelles by the gazillions, black rhinos, giraffe, and going on 60 more large mammal species inhabit the great plain, its riverine forests, and bustling set-piece kopjes. It’s in the Serengeti that something the great Isak Dinesen once wrote rings especially true: “There is something about safari life that makes you forget all your sorrows and feel as if you had drunk half a bottle of champagne — bubbling over with heartfelt gratitude for being alive.”
The Serengeti is amazing in its enormity, its almost infinite skies and long, golden reaches, its million-year quiet. “How can one convey the power of Serengeti?” Cyril Connolly asked in The Evening Colonnade. “It is an immense, limitless lawn, under a marquee of sky….The light is dazzling, the air delectable; kopjes rise out of the grass at far intervals, some wooded; the magic of the American prairie here blends with the other magic of the animals as they existed before man. There is a lightening of the spirit….”
In the evening you will go to LEMALA NNANYUKI for oovernight
Today drive to NNgorongoro Crater
A great moment in a traveller’s life: Winding up the forested flanks of the long-retired volcano, up to its very rim, and suddenly, 2,000 feet below, a stunning, world-unique view of the great caldera, undiscovered until 1892.
The Ngorongoro Crater is one of our solar system’s greatest geographic ornaments, a gorgeous natural Eden the size of 75 Central Parks, home to 30,000 free-roaming animals. All-in-all, a superlative safari destination. And, as geologic masterpieces go, Ngorongoro has had quite a career. It’s been a gigantic peak, perhaps a rival of Kilimanjaro, and, after it blew its snowy top in what must have been a rather impressive explosion (our forefathers over at the nearby Olduvai Gorge, busy getting their humanoid act together, probably saw it), Ngorongoro spent many millennia as an alternately quiet and occasionally bubbling lava lake. Now in an extended pacific mood, the crater is about as close as we’ll ever get to Sir Arthur Conan Doyle’s Lost World —which, it must be said, lacked the creature comforts of our luxury lodges, not to mention the ease and comfort of descending to the crater’s lush floor for some of Africa’s finest safari gameviewing.
Ngorongoro crater This is the best place in Tanzania to see prides of lion that include the magnificent black-manned males. There are lots of colorful flamingoes and a variety of water birds. Other game that you can see includes leopard, cheetah, hyena, other members of the antelope family, and small mammals.
Later drive back to Karatu or Arusha and end your journey with us.

Staying at the luxury wild -Lemala Nanyukie Lodge
Meaning 'endless plains' in the Maasai language, the Serengeti is undoubtedly one of the world's most celebrated wilderness areas. Lemala Nanyukie is located a 60-minute drive east of the Seronera Airstrip in the park's central region, and is superbly located with outstanding views across these fascinating 'endless plains'. The lodge itself sits on a grassy savanna dotted with rocky kopjes and shaded by ancient giant acacia trees.
This area of the Serengeti is crossed by the thrilling wildlife spectacle of the annual wildebeest migration, but also has high-density game-viewing at all times and is well-known for its large concentration of cats, so much so that until recently this area was set aside for scientific research into predators, especially cheetah
